Over 20 Years of Water Management Experience
I am running for the Central Arizona Water Conservation District (CAWCD) Board to ensure we continue to have a safe, secure and affordable water supply for Central Arizona. I will bring to the board a long term perspective - making sure our water is sustainable for our children and grandchildren. I also believe it is critical to more broadly engage Arizonans as well as our civic, environmental and business communities in the key water mangement decisions we will face. I live in South Phoenix with my wife, Rita Jo Anthony, and 17 year old son, Joseph.

What is CAWCD
The Central Arizona Water Conservation District (CAWCD) operates the Central Arizona Project (CAP) bringing Colorado River water 336 miles across the desert from Lake Havasu through Phoenix to South of Tucson. CAWCD operates the canal system, pumping plants, and the Navajo generating station. The power required to deliver CAP water makes CAWCD the single largest user of electricity in Arizona. The CAWCD Board of Directors is comprised of 15 members from Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties, each serving a 6 year term. Maricopa County voters will elect 5 board members in the November general election. For more on CAWCD visit their website at www.cap-az.com or click here.
